Trump: “We Sense That Ali Khamenei Is Dead”
During an interview with NBC News, Donald Trump was asked about reports regarding the presumed death of Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. “Our administration has a sense that this information is true,” the President of the United States replied. Trump added that Khamenei “killed many people” and “destroyed the country.”
Trump’s Truth Social Post
Shortly after, Trump wrote on Truth Social that “Ali Khamenei, one of the worst figures in history, is dead.” “He was unable to evade our intelligence services and highly advanced tracking systems, acting in close cooperation with Israel, we left him no options, nor for the other leaders who died with him,” Trump wrote. Iran has not yet confirmed the death of its leader.
Trump Revealed “Large Number of Iranian Government Members” Died in Attacks
Trump also revealed in his NBC interview that “a large number of Iranian government members” died in Saturday’s attacks. However, he did not reveal the number or identify who was involved. When asked about a possible successor to Khamenei, Trump replied, “I don’t know, but at some point they will call me to ask who I would like.” “I’m being a bit sarcastic when I say that,” he emphasized.
“Large-Scale” Operation in Iran
