Donald Trump summed up the first year of his second term. He said it was an “amazing time”.
“We did much more than any other administration in military matters, in ending wars. Nobody has really seen anything like it,” Trump stated. He also showed a brochure that is supposed to contain a list of his administration’s achievements. Before the conference, journalists gathered at the White House received copies of a press release titled “365 victories in 365 days: Trump’s return marks a new era of success and prosperity”.

Trump said that he is not credited for the stock market boom, though he deserves it. – Maybe I have bad PR specialists – he stated. He added that “nobody is talking at all” about his actions to lower drug prices. He blamed the media, which allegedly do not report on his successes.

Gary O’Donoghue of BBC said that “Trump seems a bit low on energy”. He wrote that the US president was in an “enigmatic and talkative mood” as he “meandered from topic to topic, often making connections that were not immediately obvious”. Sky News noted that Trump repeated what he had said many times in the past. At one point, Trump said that “I wouldn’t show pain even if my finger fell off”.
