US President Donald Trump invites Polish President Karol Nawrocki to join his Peace Council, an alternative to the UN with a $1 billion membership fee.
Trump’s Peace Council as UN Alternative
Donald Trump has invited 60 countries to participate in the Peace Council, described as an “international organization whose goal is to promote stability, restore credible and lawful governments, and ensure lasting peace in areas affected by or threatened by conflicts.” According to Washington, this organization is intended to serve as an alternative to the United Nations.
Structure and Membership Requirements
The US president himself will serve as the head of the Council, holding the final decision-making authority on all matters. Membership terms are initially set at three years, but countries seeking permanent status must pay a one-time fee of $1 billion.
Poland’s Invitation and Acceptance
An invitation to join the Peace Council has also been extended to Polish President Karol Nawrocki. According to information from DGP (Dziennik Gazeta Prawna), President Nawrocki has confirmed he will accept this invitation.
