U.S. President Donald Trump stated Wednesday that Iran’s president requested a ceasefire, contingent on the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump’s Statement on Iranian Request
President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that the “president of the new Iranian regime” requested the United States to enact a ceasefire.
The American leader stated he would consider the request if the Strait of Hormuz is opened and remains free.
Trump’s Conditions and Warning
“The president of the new Iranian regime, far less radical and much more intelligent than his predecessors, just asked for a CEASEFIRE! We will consider (it) when the Strait of Hormuz is open, free and clean. Until then, we will strike Iran until it is decimated, or, as they say, returns to the Stone Age!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
