Trump Threatens Iran, Claims Military “Hasn’t Even Started”

Former President Trump warned Iran via Truth Social, threatening further attacks following a U.S. strike on a bridge in Karaj on April 2nd.

U.S. Strike and Iranian Response

Donald Trump stated on Thursday, April 2nd, via Truth Social, that “Our military, by far the most magnificent and powerful in the world, hasn’t even started to destroy what’s left of Iran.” He added that cities and power plants would be next targets.

Trump also declared that “the leadership of the new regime knows what to do and must do it FAST!”

Casualties Reported After Bridge Attack

The U.S. attacked Iran, resulting in eight deaths and 95 injuries. The strike targeted a highway bridge in the Iranian city of Karaj. Iranian authorities reported the casualties from the Thursday attack.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Aragczi asserted that attacks on civilian targets would not force Iran to surrender.

U.S. Justification for the Strike

The U.S. military claims the strike on the bridge connecting Tehran and Karaj aimed to disrupt the supply of components used in the production of drones targeting U.S. and Israeli assets. Iranian authorities have condemned the attack as a “crime.”

International Concerns Over Regional Stability

Yvette Cooper, head of the British Foreign Office, noted that Iran’s obstruction of waterways “harms global economic security” during a virtual meeting, according to Wyborcza.pl.

Civilian Deaths in Ongoing Conflict

At least 1606 civilians, including 244 children, have been killed in the conflict in the Middle East.

Escalation of Conflict Since February 28th

The United States and Israel initiated attacks on Iran on February 28th. Iranian media subsequently reported the deaths of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Mohammad Pakpour, and security advisor Ali Shamkhani.

In response, Tehran and affiliated armed groups have targeted U.S. and Israeli military bases and diplomatic facilities in the Persian Gulf region.
