Trump’s Warning on Truth Social
“Iran has just stated that it will strike very hard today, harder than ever before. Better not to do that, because if they do, we will strike them with a force never seen before! Thank you for your attention!” Trump wrote in a nightly post on the social media platform Truth Social.
Iran’s Retaliation Threat
This is a reaction to the announcement by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of severe revenge for the killing of Khamenei and other country leaders. Iranian forces announced an attack on 27 American bases in the Middle East.
Previous Statements
In an earlier interview with CBS, Trump said he expected a stronger Iranian retaliation than he had seen so far. US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported no American casualties and only minor property damage.
