Trump Writes to Nawrocki, Polish Media Reports on Letter’s Contents

US President Donald Trump has written to Poland’s President Karol Nawrocki, sparking media interest in the letter’s contents, with Poland’s Foreign Ministry responding to related queries.

Background of the Letter

According to reports from Radio RMF FM’s US correspondent Paweł Żuchowski, Donald Trump sent a letter to Karol Nawrocki, which was handed over to the Polish Embassy in Washington and then delivered to Poland via diplomatic mail.

Contents of the Letter

The letter reportedly concerns Nawrocki’s recent visit to Washington, with no political declarations regarding recent Russian drone incidents in Poland, according to Onet. Earlier, there were speculations that the letter might include guidelines for European countries on tariffs and sanctions against Russia.

Ministerial Response

Marcin Przydacz, head of the President’s International Policy Office, mentioned that the letter had not yet reached the President’s Office and expressed concern over the media learning about its contents before the addressee. In response, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Paweł Wroński stated that the letter was delivered to the President’s Office without delay and in accordance with protocol.

Ministry’s Stance

Wroński also mentioned that while the Ministry is aware of the letter’s contents, it will not disclose them. He expressed puzzlement over attempts to fabricate a controversy around the letter’s delivery.
