Tunisian National Arrested in Poland for Theft, Schengen Ban Violation

Polish police in Wiskitki detained a 37-year-old Tunisian citizen on March 23rd following a vehicle theft and discovery of a Schengen entry ban.

Vehicle Theft Investigation Leads to Arrest

Police from the Wiskitki precinct, collaborating with detectives from the Żyrardów County Police Headquarters, arrested a 37-year-old Tunisian national for theft from a parked vehicle.

On Monday, March 23rd, a resident of Wiskitki reported the theft of documents and personal belongings from their Fiat.

Illegal Stay and Schengen Ban Discovered

The investigation revealed the suspect was not only responsible for the theft but was also residing in Poland illegally and subject to a valid ban from entering the Schengen Area.

Deportation Proceedings Initiated

Officers from the Department for Petty Offences and Administrative Proceedings have begun procedures for the man’s deportation. The 37-year-old was transferred to the Border Guard facility in Warsaw for further legal proceedings.

Stolen Property Recovered

Effective police work resulted in the suspect’s apprehension on the same day and the recovery of the stolen items, which were returned to the owner.
