Three Key Priorities Agreed
The leaders outlined three priorities: security and defence; infrastructure; and remembrance and memorialisation. They highlighted the need for cooperation on energy independence and support for Ukraine.
Commitment to Energy Independence
The joint declaration called for 100 % decoupling from Russian energy supplies for Poland, Germany and Europe, underscoring the need for a common energy policy.
Historical Manuscripts Returned
Germany also returned 73 historical manuscripts and a fragment of a 14th‑century statue of Saint Jacob from the Malbork church, items originally taken during World War II.
