Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is reportedly planning a limited government reshuffle before the summer break, potentially impacting several ministerial positions.
Tusk Considers “Small Reconstruction”
According to RMF FM reports, Prime Minister Donald Tusk intends to implement a “light government reconstruction” before the summer recess. The changes are not expected to be as extensive as those seen last year.
A source within the ruling coalition, quoted anonymously by RMF FM, stated the goal is to improve the performance ratings of certain ministries as elections approach, rather than initiating major upheaval.
Ministers Potentially Affected
Three ministers are reportedly at risk of losing their positions: Marta Cienkowska (Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Polska 2050), Barbara Nowacka (Minister of National Education, Civic Coalition), and Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda (Minister of Health).
Polsat News also reported that the position of Minister of Climate and Environment, Paulina Hennig-Kloska, is also potentially at risk.
Impact of Polska 2050 Split
The recent split within the Polska 2050 party and the formation of the Centrum parliamentary club have raised questions about the allocation of ministerial posts among these groups.
Both Paulina Hennig-Kloska (Minister of Climate and Environment) and Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz (Minister of Funds and Regional Policy) continue to lead their respective ministries despite the party division.
Polska 2050 Facing Potential Loss of Portfolio
RMF FM sources indicate that Polska 2050, which previously held three ministerial positions, may lose one as a result of the party split. The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, currently headed by Marta Cienkowska, is the most likely to be affected.
Hennig-Kloska was also mentioned as a potential candidate to lose her position.
Hennig-Kloska Denies Knowledge of Reshuffle
Speaking on TVN24, Hennig-Kloska stated she had not heard about any planned reconstruction. She added that she had recently discussed her ministry with the Prime Minister, who expressed satisfaction with her work and wished her to continue in her role.

The approach in the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party, characterized by internal expertise, is contrasted with Tusk’s reliance on marketing specialists and statistical analysis, mirroring successful American campaigns.
