A 58-year-old woman and her 9-month-old granddaughter were attacked by two loose Amstaffs in Skórzec, Poland, on September 12.

The incident occurred when the two dogs escaped from a car after the passenger door was opened. The dogs, identified as Amstaffs, attacked the grandmother and her infant granddaughter while they were out for a walk.

Injuries and Hospitalization

The 58-year-old grandmother and her 9-month-old granddaughter were both injured in the attack and taken to the hospital. The grandmother was released shortly after, while the infant suffered more serious injuries and was hospitalized in the pediatric surgery department.

The hospital reported that the infant required medical treatment and was still under care, but specific details of her injuries were not disclosed.

Investigation and Aftermath

The police are investigating the incident, focusing on putting the person at risk and establishing the exact circumstances of the dog attack. The dogs, which have current vaccinations, were taken into observation by the County Veterinarian.

The owner of the dogs, a 58-year-old resident of the Siedlce commune, was driving the vehicle at the time of the attack. According to the police, there were no previous reports of aggressive behavior from these dogs.
