Two Cars Collide at Zawisza Square; One Strikes Traffic Light

At 11:10 on Sunday, a Dacia and a BMW collided at Warsaw’s Zawisza Square in Ochota, with the Dacia crashing into a traffic light post and causing traffic delays.

Collision Details

At approximately 11:10 on Sunday, a Dacia driven from Raszynska Street entered the intersection on a red signal, colliding with a BMW and being thrown off the lane.

Traffic Light Damage

The Dacia struck the traffic light post and a road sign, disabling the intersection’s signal and leaving portions of the crossing without functioning lights.

No Injuries

Neither driver sustained injuries in the crash, and emergency services handled the scene without casualties.

Transport Disruptions

Due to the blocked crossing at Zawisza Square, tram lines 1, 22, and 24 experienced delays and were rerouted onto detour paths as announced by the WTP.

Line 1: Annopol – Filtrowa – Krzywickiego – Aleje Niepodległości – Chałubińskiego – Aleja Jana Pawła II – Aleja Solidarności – Okopowa.
