Collision Details
The vehicles—a Mitsubishi and a Jeep—smashed into each other with considerable force, causing both cars to leave the road onto the sidewalk. One vehicle overturned, demolished a traffic light signal, and struck a cyclist and a pedestrian.
Injuries and Victims
Seven people were injured: five in the vehicles and two pedestrians. Among the wounded are two children aged 7 and 9, and a 55‑year‑old pedestrian who is in a very serious condition.
Emergency Response
Seven medical rescue teams, several fire brigade units and police arrived on scene. Rescuers provided first aid before transporting the victims to hospitals.
Road Closure and Investigation
The intersection has been completely blocked. Traffic authorities are directing flow and establishing detours, while police investigate the cause, reviewing evidence, CCTV footage and witness statements.
