Two Dead in Złotoryja District House Fire

A fire in a single-family home in Nowy Kościół, Złotoryja district, Poland, on Tuesday resulted in two fatalities.

A fire broke out in a single-family home in the village of Nowy Kościół, Świerzawa commune (Złotoryja district) on Tuesday, March 17th. Emergency services received the report after 11 PM, indicating a fire had started in a ground-floor room.

Firefighter Response and Hazards

Firefighters secured the scene, initiated firefighting efforts, and searched the burning building. A propane-butane gas cylinder located within one of the rooms presented an additional hazard.

Firefighters successfully cooled the cylinder, moved it to a safe location, and monitored its temperature. They were also forced to demolish parts of the building to eliminate remaining pockets of fire.

Investigation Ongoing

Police are continuing their investigation at the scene.

Gdynia School Restricts Toilet Breaks

A school in Gdynia has limited student access to toilets during class time due to abuse of the privilege. The school administration reported instances of students gathering in large groups and vaping in the restrooms, as communicated in a letter to parents.
