Two Foreign Nationals Arrested in Warsaw for Drug Possession

Warsaw police officers have arrested a 26-year-old Russian citizen and a 29-year-old Ukrainian citizen after finding narcotics in their possession near the Palace of Culture and Science.

Discovery Near the Palace of Culture

Officers from the 3rd Company of the Warsaw Police Prevention Department encountered two men acting suspiciously near the Palace of Culture and Science. Initial checks revealed both individuals were carrying small amounts of marijuana.

Significant Seizure and Charges

Following further investigations, police searched the residence of the 29-year-old suspect. They confiscated nearly half a kilogram of narcotics, including marijuana, mephedrone, and ketamine, alongside drug packaging equipment and communication devices.

The 29-year-old faces charges of possessing a significant quantity of drugs, which carries a potential sentence of up to 10 years in prison. A court has ordered him to be held in pre-trial detention for three months.

Status of the 26-Year-Old Suspect

The 26-year-old Russian national has been charged with general drug possession. He faces a penalty of up to three years of imprisonment, with the investigation currently supervised by the Warsaw Śródmieście-Północ District Prosecutor’s Office.
