Two Injured Following Collision on DK60

A 19-year-old driver’s dangerous passing maneuver caused a two-vehicle crash in Mokrzk on May 16, 2026, resulting in hospitalizations and the suspension of the young motorist’s license.

Collision in Mokrzk

On the weekend of May 16, 2026, a serious traffic accident occurred on National Road 60 in the Płock district. Two people were injured in the incident, which narrowly avoided a fatal outcome.

Preliminary police findings indicate that a 19-year-old driving a BMW attempted to overtake multiple vehicles. A 31-year-old driver in an oncoming Suzuki steered off the road into a ditch to avoid a head-on collision. The BMW driver, attempting to return to his lane, subsequently lost control and also crashed into the ditch.

Injuries and Investigation

The driver of the Suzuki and his female passenger were transported to the hospital for their injuries. The BMW was carrying four teenage passengers in addition to the driver; fortunately, none of them sustained serious harm.

Officers secured evidence at the scene and documented the event to determine the full circumstances of the crash.

Consequences for the Young Driver

The 19-year-old driver had held his category B license for less than one year. Given the danger created on the road and his previous traffic offenses, police opted to seize his driving license.

Authorities have issued an appeal for caution, reminding all motorists that they are responsible for the safety of themselves and others, and that negligence or excessive speed can lead to tragedy.
