Two people died when their Hyundai car collided with a railbus at a marked crossing in Susk Nowy Monday evening.
Fatal Accident at Marked Crossing
A tragic accident occurred at approximately 6:30 PM on a marked railway crossing on Tęczowa Street in Susk Nowy (gmina Rzekuń, powiat ostrołęcki).
The collision involved a passenger car, a Hyundai, and a railbus.
Two Fatalities, No Injuries on Railbus
According to preliminary findings, two people traveling in the Hyundai were killed at the scene of the accident.
The railbus was carrying 17 passengers, and none of them sustained injuries.
Passengers Transported, Crossing Blocked
A replacement train was arranged for the railbus passengers to continue their journey.
The railway crossing in the vicinity of the accident is currently blocked.
Investigation Underway
Ostrołęka police officers, under the supervision of a prosecutor, are at the scene. They are conducting proceedings to determine the exact causes and circumstances of the accident.
