Two Men Sentenced for July 2024 Murder of Sebastian G.

The Ostrołęka Regional Court sentenced two men to prison for the fatal beating of 28‑year‑old Sebastian G. on July 13, 2024, whose body was buried in a forest near Myszyńc and recovered on November 29, 2024.

Charges and Investigation

The Ostrołęka District Prosecutor’s Office, after a probe conducted by the regional office, filed charges against Damian S. and Mateusz T., both residents of the area.

Both defendants were indicted for participating in a deadly assault. The prosecutor’s statement emphasized that the charges stemmed from the homicide of Sebastian G.

Court Findings

The Ostrołęka Regional Court, on 27 November 2025, ruled both men guilty of “participation in a fatal beating” under Article 158 § 3 of the Polish Penal Code. Damian S. faced an additional charge under Article 64 § 1 for incomplete prior conviction.

Details of the Attack

The fatal assault took place on July 13, 2024, in Myszyńc, Masovian Voivodeship. The defendants struck Sebastian G. repeatedly with fists to the head, neck, and upper torso, inflicting severe hemorrhages and asphyxiation that led to his death.

Sentences Imposed

Damian S. received a 10‑year prison term, while Mateusz T. was sentenced to 12 years. The court also awarded collective restitution of 100 000 zł to auxiliary plaintiffs and assessed prosecution costs.

The court noted that Damian S.’s previous conviction and the recidivist nature of the offense influenced the severity of his sentence.

Discovery of Remains

Sebastian G. was marked missing from July 13, 2024 until the night of November 29‑30, 2024, when his body was found buried in a deep pit within a forest, covered with earth and branches. Law enforcement searched over 650 hectares, employing drones in the investigation.
