German Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil invites Poland to join new E6 group for stronger, more resilient European defense.
New Defense Initiative Proposed
German Vice Chancellor and Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil has proposed creating a new political structure within the European Union. Just prior to his Monday visit to Poland, Klingbeil sent letters to the governments of five countries outlining his initiative.
E6 Group for Stronger Europe
In his letters, Klingbeil explained that the proposal to establish the E6 group is driven by the need to create a “stronger and more resilient” Europe. He argued that defense should be transformed into a growth engine for the continent.
Poland Invited to Elite Circle
Poland, with the third largest budget in the group, has been invited to join this elite initiative as part of creating a “two-speed Europe” with enhanced defense capabilities.
