Initial findings indicate that the driver of tram line 10 did not maintain proper caution and collided with the rear of tram line 18, which was stopped at a stop.

Emergency Response

Both drivers were tested for sobriety – they were sober. On site, firefighters, medical rescue teams, police and Warsaw Trams traffic supervision were operating.

The police are conducting explanatory proceedings regarding the collision.

Tram lines 4, 10, 11, 14, 16, 18 were redirected to alternative routes due to the incident.

Lines 10 and 11 were redirected via al. Niepodległości – Rakowiecka – Puławska to their basic routes.

Lines 4, 16, 18 were redirected via Marszałkowska – Nowowiejska – al. Niepodległości – Rakowiecka – Puławska.

Line 14 was redirected via Nowowiejska – al. Niepodległości – Rakowiecka – Puławska.
