Two Women Struck by Train at Warsaw West Station

Two women struck by a Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa (WKD) train at Warsaw West Station at 11:50; both injured.

Incident Details

At 11:50 on Warsaw West Station, two women (aged 38 and 55) were struck by a WKD train. Both were handed over to medical rescue services. Firefighters and police were at the scene.

Investigation Findings

Initial findings suggest the women, likely Ukrainian nationals, were near track 1 in a restricted area by a fence. A WKD train rounding a curve struck them. One woman was unconscious; the other was conscious. Both received medical aid. Firefighters transported one to an ambulance; the other walked to medical services.

Service Disruptions

Three fire brigades, including an urban operations team and a medical rescue squad, responded. Police are investigating the accident. One track at the station was blocked during operations.

WKD cancelled train number 6631 (Warsaw West 12:02 – Grodzisk Mazowiecki Radońska 12:52). From January 17 to February 1, 2026, WKD faces temporary schedule changes due to infrastructure work, including station closures and track restrictions between Warszawa Śródmście WKD and Warszawa Zachodnia WKD.
