Iranian state television reportedly showed images of the downed aircraft, which British newspaper *The Guardian* identified as likely being an F-15E fighter jet.

CBS News reported Friday, citing two U.S. officials, that one crew member of the F-15E fighter jet downed over Iran has been rescued by U.S. forces. The search and rescue mission continues.
