Ukrainian officials assure Warsaw that Polish President Karol Nawrocki can travel to Kyiv, countering reports that he would not visit, according to the Ukrainian ambassador to Poland.
Polish Policy Office Comments on Kyiv Visit
Marcin Przydacz, head of the International Policy Office at the President’s Office, stated that President Zelensky could meet President Nawrocki if desired, noting no barriers to a trip and emphasizing the need for concrete outcomes rather than symbolic visits.
Ambassador Confirms Ukraine’s Willingness
Ukrainian Ambassador Wasyl Bodnar confirmed that Ukraine had offered several dates for Nawrocki’s visit and that Warsaw had not issued any negative response. He said the proposal was accepted for further consideration.
Polish Acceptance of Proposed Dates
Bodnar added that the Polish side had accepted the proposed dates for the visit, indicating that no refusal had been made by the President’s Office.
Ambassador Surprised at Report of Impossibility
The ambassador expressed surprise at claims that Nawrocki’s visit could be impossible, noting that such reports were inconsistent with the diplomatic exchanges he had experienced.
