Ukrainian Drone Attack on Fuel Train in Batumi

The Special Operations Forces command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced that between Saturday night (13 December) and Sunday (14 December), Ukrainian forces attacked a fuel train in Batumi. Drone operators also struck a train near Jantar in occupied Crimea, reportedly carrying fuel for Russian forces. The attack, 165 km from the front line, employed FP‑2 kamikaze drones.

The drones targeted a Russian train near the town of Jantar, also located in occupied Crimea, the Army confirmed in its footage release. The train was believed to be transporting fuel for Russian troops.

Attacks on Russian Cities and Power Infrastructure

During the night of Sunday to Monday, Ukrainian drones damaged the power grid in Belgorod and Rostov‑on‑Don. The same unmanned aircraft also attacked the Russian capital, where explosions were witnessed over Moscow. For several hours, the Zhukovsky and Domodedovo airports were out of service.

In both the Belgorod and Rostov regions, some districts suffered outages of electricity and heating, with local media reporting disruption at regional power‑heat plants.

Additional Damage to Energy and Chemical Facilities

Ukrainian drones also struck Russia’s fuel infrastructure on the Caspian Sea in recent days and damaged a chemical plant in the Astrakhan region that processes sulfur and gas.
