Ukrainian Family Missing in Poland Resurfaces in Slovakia

A seven‑member Ukrainian family reported missing in Władysławowo on December 15 was later located in Slovakia, with police saying their lives are safe.

Missing in Władysławowo

A police report filed Monday by the Puck County Police Commander listed seven Ukrainian nationals—a 27‑year‑old woman, a 44‑year‑old man and five children aged 1–8—as missing. The family was last seen on December 15 near Rzemieślnicza Street in Władysławowo, Puck County, Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Search Initiated

Police began a level‑II search, stating that the circumstances did not suggest an immediate danger to the family’s life, health or freedom. The assistant from the Social Assistance Centre had reported the disappearance.

Family Found in Slovakia

Shortly after the search, authorities released a statement confirming that the family had been located in Slovakia through cooperation with border guards. Officials reported that the parents and children were safe and no threat to their well‑being existed.

Legal Complications and Foster Care

Unofficial sources noted that domestic violence had restricted the parents’ rights to their children, which led to the children being placed in foster care. Journalists reported that on Monday a court hearing was held, during which allegations of parental abduction surfaced.

Police Conclusion

The police concluded the search once the family was located, thanking the public for sharing images of the missing individuals.
