Railway Police Investigation Leads to Arrest

Warsaw Railway Police detained Natalia S., a 35-year-old Ukrainian national, on suspicion of setting another woman’s hair on fire at Warsaw Central Station. The arrest, made on Sobieskiego Street in Warsaw, followed over two months of investigation.

The incident occurred on January 17, 2026, within the ticket hall of Warsaw Central Station, where an unidentified woman had her hair ignited by the suspect, who then fled the scene. Police immediately launched an operation to identify and apprehend the perpetrator.

Charges and Detention Order

Natalia S. faces charges of endangering life or causing serious bodily harm, and of making threats against another person, as determined by investigators from the Warsaw Railway Police’s criminal division.

Based on the evidence presented, the Warsaw-Śródmieście District Court issued a three-month temporary arrest warrant for Natalia S. She faces up to three years in prison if convicted. The investigation is being led by the Warsaw Railway Police.
