Ukrainian National Arrested for DUI, Bribery Attempt

A 43-year-old Ukrainian citizen was arrested in Piaseczno, Poland, after crashing into a bus while intoxicated and attempting to bribe police.

Incident on Zgody Street

Police in Piaseczno responded to a traffic incident on Zgody Street involving a bus and a Mercedes. The bus driver reported the Mercedes driver struck his vehicle twice while exiting a parking space.

Both drivers underwent alcohol testing. The bus driver’s results were negative, but the Mercedes driver registered over 2.5 promille of alcohol in her breath.

False Claim of Legal Profession

The woman claimed to be a lawyer and asserted she could resolve the situation, but it was later determined she works in a different profession.

Attempted Bribery and Abuse of Officers

During transport to the police station, the woman attempted to bribe the officers in exchange for halting the proceedings. She stated her high income would allow her to “handle” the situation.

When informed her actions constituted a crime, she began to insult the officers.

Charges and Police Supervision

The woman faces charges of driving under the influence, insulting officers, corruption, endangering traffic safety, and driving without a license.

She has been placed under police supervision pending a decision by the Piaseczno court. The vehicle was impounded.

Investigation Ongoing

The investigation is being led by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Piaseczno.
