Ukrainian forces struck a Russian missile arsenal in Volgograd region, triggering massive explosions and civilian evacuations.
Ukrainian Attack on Russian Missile Arsenal
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Thursday, February 12, an attack on the Main Missile Artillery Directorate arsenal of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Ukrainian forces struck the facility with an FP-5 Flaming maneuvering missile. The arsenal stored missiles, ammunition, and explosives. Local media reported a fire broke out near ammunition storage depots.
Ukrainian military forces announced “powerful explosions” occurred. Due to the attack, residents of one town in the Volgograd region were evacuated.
Strike on Tambov Aircraft Factory
Ukrainian forces also conducted an attack in the Tambov region. The Ukrainian Pravda portal reported an airstrike on a factory in Michurinsk producing advanced aviation and rocket equipment. The enterprise supplied the Russian army.
