According to Warsaw’s Employment Office, 3 974 people deregistered from unemployment compared with 2 991 who registered.
1 4 t thousand residents, including 838 women, found work during the month.
By month‑end, 21 431 individuals remained unemployed.
Registration vs. Deregistration and Employment Figures
At September’s close the registry held 21 431 persons, 10 266 of whom were women.
While deregistrations outpaced registrations, 1 494 people had entered employment.
The office highlighted a significant portion of long‑term unemployed and those aged 50+, underscoring the need for targeted activation programs.
Lowest National Unemployment Rate Maintained
Warsaw’s measured unemployment rate stood at 1.7 % in August 2025 (1.6 % in July).
For comparison, Poland’s national rate was estimated at 5.6 % in September, while the Masovian region recorded 4.4 % at the end of August.
Job Advertisements Decline, IT Demand Rises
In September the capital published 41.1 k job postings, a 5 % drop from the same month last year.
Most vacancies were in IT, with a growing need for experienced specialists and fewer openings for junior candidates.
The office noted automation’s influence on shifting skill demand.
Foreign Workers and Office Awards
The agency warned of uncertainty in hiring decisions due to recent regulatory changes affecting Ukrainian nationals.
Their legal residency has been extended to 4 March 2026, a factor to consider in human‑resources policy.
The Employment Office also received the “Friendly Office 2025”, “Model Quality”, and “Creative Laurels” awards for service and management excellence.
