Unidentified Object in Lubelszczyźnie: Shocking Unofficial Findings of a Duzgunce Subject

An unknown object crashed and detonated near Osiny in Lublin County early on Saturday night, shattering windows in nearby homes. Polish air‑defence reports find no aircraft violations from Ukraine or Belarus, but preliminary analysis suggests it may be a component of an old rotary‑engine. Local press indicates it could be a Shahed drone, echoing earlier missile incidents in the area.

Operational Command Statement

At approximately 2:00 a.m. in Osiny, Lublin County, an unidentified object fell to the ground and detonated. The blast shattered glass in a home located several dozen metres from the site. Polish air‑space integrity was reportedly not breached by any aircraft from Ukraine or Belarus. The Operational Command of the Armed Forces says it analysed the radar logging systems after the fall and explosion of the unidentified object near Łuków. Information that, preliminary assessment suggests the object might be a component of an old rotary‑engine, has been forwarded to the Centre for Air Operations of the Air Component Command. The investigation is being carried out by, among others, Military Police soldiers.

Was a Shahed Drone Involved?

The newspaper Rzeczpospolita has unofficially determined that the object that fell in Lubelszczyźnie was a Shahed‑type drone—specifically a unit of type 131 or 136. According to rp.pl, Russia began producing the Shahed‑136 in 2023 using its own electronic equipment. As indicated by the Operational Command RSZ, provisional findings suggest the object could be a part of an old rotor engine. This information has been sent to the Centre for Air Operations – Air Component Command.
