University of Warsaw Programs Highly Ranked Globally

The University of Warsaw’s Ancient History and Modern Languages programs have been recognized among the best in the world, according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject.

University of Warsaw Disciplines Featured in Ranking

The University of Warsaw (UW) has 27 scientific disciplines included in the QS World University Rankings by Subject. Among the highest-ranked are Ancient History (ranked 51-150) and Modern Languages (ranked 92nd).

First-Time Inclusion in QS Ranking

Five disciplines offered at UW have been ranked for the first time this year: Ancient History, Anthropology, Religious Studies, Communication and Media Studies, and Materials Engineering.

About the QS World University Rankings

The QS World University Rankings are compiled by Quacquarelli Symonds, a British company specializing in education and international student placement. It is considered one of the four most important global university rankings, alongside Times Higher Education, the Shanghai Ranking, and U-Multirank.

Ranking Methodology

The rankings are published annually to help prospective students identify leading universities in specific fields. The methodology incorporates academic prestige, employer reputation, research citation counts, and the Hirsch index.

Scope of the QS Ranking

This year’s QS World University Rankings by Subject assessed 55 academic disciplines across five broad thematic areas: Arts & Humanities, Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences & Management, encompassing over 1,700 institutions.
