Unmarked Police Car Collides with Toyota After Chase in Warsaw

A silver Toyota Corolla crashed into an unmarked police vehicle on Rosoła Street in Warsaw’s Ursynów district following a pursuit Monday evening.

Police Chase Culminates in Collision

A police chase on Ursynów ended with a collision between a silver Toyota Corolla and an unmarked police car on Rosoła Street. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Monday near Nowoursynowska 143.

Witnesses reported the chase began earlier, with police following the fleeing Toyota through the streets of Ursynów. The pursuit concluded near an exit from a residential parking lot, where the unmarked Renault police car, traveling on Rosoła Street from the Anody side, struck the side of the Toyota.

Significant Vehicle Damage and Driver Flight

The force of the impact pushed the Toyota onto the curb and into a lamppost. Road infrastructure was also damaged, and a wheel detached from the Toyota upon impact.

According to witnesses, the Toyota’s driver fled on foot between buildings after the vehicle stopped. Police officers pursued the driver.

Unconfirmed Reports of Gunshots

Residents reported hearing sounds resembling gunshots, but there is currently no confirmation regarding the nature of these sounds or whether the driver was apprehended.

Ongoing Investigation

Police patrols were dispatched to the scene, and a K-9 unit was also involved in the search. As of publication, police have not released official information regarding the reason for the chase, the details of the intervention, or the potential arrest of the fleeing driver.
