US Ambassador Tom Rose on Thursday, February 5, announced the termination of contact with Marshal of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty. “As of today, we will no longer maintain any contacts or communicate with Marshal of the Sejm Czarzasty, whose outrageous and unjustified insults – directed at President Trump – have become a serious obstacle to our excellent relations with Prime Minister Tusk and his government. We will not allow anyone to harm Polish-American relations or show disrespect to Donald Trump, who has done so much for Poland and Poles,” Rose wrote.

According to Dr. hab. Bohdan Szklarski from the University of Warsaw, “the ambassador behaved like a person managing our country and a politician.” – “Perhaps this statement was consulted with Washington and then it should worry us more, because there is a threat of revising our relations. If so, this is very concerning. If, on the other hand, it is a personal message from the ambassador defending the president – who probably didn’t even know something like this was happening – then it will still cause serious damage,” said the Americanist in an interview with Gazeta.pl.

Recall that during Monday’s press conference, Czarzasty criticized the policy conducted by Donald Trump, including the idea of establishing a Peace Council. – “We must strengthen the European Union, NATO, the UN, WHO, and ourselves. This is where our security lies. President Trump destabilizes the situation in these organizations by representing a policy of force and conducting transactional policy using force. This is a violation of the policy of principles, values, often violating international law,” Czarzasty stated at the time. The Marshal of the Sejm also criticized the tariff policy, the Republican’s statements about soldiers’ participation in missions, and his approach to Greenland. – “All of this causes me not to support the nomination of President Trump for a Nobel Prize, because he does not deserve it,” said the politician.
