US Threatens Iran with Naval Blockade, Destruction of Vessels

President Trump warned Iran that its fast attack boats will be “eliminated” if they approach US ships enforcing a declared blockade of Iranian ports.

Trump Announces Iranian Port Blockade

US President Donald Trump warned Iran that if its fast attack boats approach American ships conducting a blockade of Iran, they will be “immediately eliminated.” He stated US forces would act similarly to how they deal with drug smuggler boats at sea.

Trump wrote on Truth Social, “The Iranian navy is lying at the bottom of the sea, totally destroyed – 158 vessels. We only didn’t hit their small number of ‘fast attack boats’ because we didn’t consider them a big threat.”

Warning Over Approaching Blockade

“WARNING: if any of these ships approach our BLOCKADE, they will be IMMEDIATELY DESTROYED, using the same swift and brutal system we use against drug boats on the sea,” Trump added.

Blockade Details and Pentagon Claims

The blockade of Iranian ports, announced by Trump and US Central Command, was scheduled to begin at 4 PM Polish time and apply to all ships traveling to and from Iranian ports, terminals, and coastal areas.

According to Pentagon claims last week, US forces have already destroyed about half of Iran’s small fast attack boats, which are considered a major threat to ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has threatened that no ports in the Persian Gulf will be safe if Iranian ports are threatened.
