A 51-year-old man, sought on two arrest warrants, has been apprehended in a Warsaw suburb after hiding under a different name to avoid prosecution for hostage-taking.

A 51-year-old man was wanted on two arrest warrants for taking a hostage, carrying a four-year prison sentence and temporary 30-day detention for fraud.

Police Operation

Policemen from the V Warsaw Police District’s Search Team conducted operational activities to apprehend the man. They established informants and tracked down the criminal’s location in the Warszawa-Wilanów district.

Arrest and Identification

Police, having identified the man while he hid under an alias, completed necessary documentation and remanded him to prison to serve a four-year sentence for hostage-taking. The suspect was surprised by his capture since he believed he could avoid responsibility.
