Two young boys were injured Sunday at a Warsaw climbing wall when an 11-year-old fell on his 10-year-old brother.
Accident at Climbing Wall
On Sunday, January 18, 2026, at a sports facility on Annopol Street in Warsaw, a serious accident occurred on the climbing wall involving two underage boys. According to the information provided, the 11-year-old had previously been trained for climbing and began ascending the wall. At a height of approximately 5-7 meters, for reasons not yet established, he disconnected from his safety gear.
At this moment, he lost his balance and fell from the wall, landing on his younger brother who was below on the ground, subsequently pinning him to the floor.
Boys Transported to Hospitals
Two medical rescue teams were dispatched to the incident. After providing assistance at the scene, rescuers transported both boys to hospitals. Their current health condition is not known.
Police also intervened at the facility and conducted investigative actions. As part of the investigation, circumstances of the incident and issues related to the level of supervision of the boys during climbing were examined.
