Warsaw Apartment Fire Injures Two, One Critically

A fire broke out in a seventh-floor apartment on Maria Dąbrowska Street in Warsaw’s Bielany district around 8:50 PM, injuring two residents.

Fire Breaks Out in Bielany Apartment

Around 8:50 PM, a fire erupted in a seventh-floor apartment building located on Maria Dąbrowska Street in the Bielany district of Warsaw. Two residents were evacuated from the apartment and transported to a hospital.

Firefighters arriving at the scene encountered a well-developed fire in the apartment. Due to the intensity of the blaze, firefighting efforts included the use of an aerial lift. Crews quickly deployed water and extinguished the source of the fire.

Residents Evacuated, One Critically Injured

Two individuals were inside the apartment at the time of the fire. Both were evacuated by emergency services and handed over to medical teams. One of the injured was in critical condition.

Extensive Emergency Response

Approximately 20 residents were evacuated from the building’s stairwell. A significant number of emergency personnel responded, including 11 fire crews, a medical team from fire station 8, the city’s operational group, four ambulance teams, gas and energy emergency services, and the police.

Damage Assessment Underway

The Deputy Mayor of Bielany was also present at the scene. They reported damage to some building elements, including water from a damaged pipe flooding other apartments.

Following the completion of firefighting operations, authorities are awaiting inspection by building control specialists to assess the extent of the damage and determine if residents can return to their homes.

Cause of Fire Under Investigation

The cause and precise circumstances of the fire are currently unknown and will be investigated by the appropriate authorities.
