Fire Breaks Out at Warsaw Construction Site
A fire occurred on Monday, April 7th, at 12:16 PM at a construction site located at 6A Grzybowska Street in central Warsaw.
The fire engulfed an electrical distribution panel on the 6th floor of the building under construction, with heavy smoke spreading to the two floors above.
Evacuation and Emergency Response
Around 90 construction workers evacuated the site before the arrival of emergency services.
Three fire crews, police officers, and a medical rescue team were dispatched to the scene.
Medical Attention and Traffic Disruption
Two construction workers received medical attention from paramedics but did not require hospitalization, remaining at the scene after examination.
Grzybowska Street was blocked for approximately 40 minutes between Graniczna Street and al. Jana Pawła II due to the emergency operation, with traffic resuming after firefighting and site security were completed.
Fire Contained and Investigation Launched
Firefighters completed operations at 12:50 PM and returned to their stations.
Police are conducting further investigations to determine the cause of the fire.
