A fire in the Ursynów district of Warsaw has resulted in four fatalities and two injuries, with police and prosecutors investigating the scene.
Firefighters Secure Scene After Fatal Blaze
Firefighters are securing the area following a tragic fire in Ursynów, where four people died and two were injured. Police are at the scene, and authorities are awaiting the arrival of the prosecutor, according to the Warsaw fire department.
“Our actions at this time are limited to securing the scene,” a press team from the Warsaw City State Fire Service informed PAP on Saturday afternoon. They added that police are currently awaiting the prosecutor’s arrival.
Initial Response and Rescue Efforts
Upon the arrival of the first fire crews, it was discovered that a car and a ground-floor unit were on fire. After initially extinguishing the flames and entering the building, firefighters removed a total of five people from the premises.
Another person near the burning car was also injured, according to the fire department. Ultimately, four people died, and two sustained burns. (PAP)
