Police raid uncovers large drug stash

Police from the Criminal Division in Wola seized over 1.5 kg of methamphetamine, mefedron and dried plant cannabis during a search of a basement. The raid followed an operational lead that drugs could be present in a local flat.

Substantial quantities seized in apartment

In the apartment, officers found more than 150 g of methamphetamine, mefedron and dried plant cannabis. Both locations were searched as part of the same operation.

Background of the suspect

The 34‑year‑old was already on the police’s watch list for offences under the Narcotics Act and had prior court registrations. He was noted for a previous conviction and was released from a penal institution in July of the previous year.

Legal proceedings and potential sentence

After collecting evidence, prosecutors filed charges of possession of large amounts of narcotics and psychoactive substances. The court temporarily detained him for three months, with the case carrying a potential penalty of up to ten years in prison.
