Mayor Declines to Join Parade

Rafał Trzaskowski, asked about participating in the Independence Day march, stated that he will not. He emphasized that anyone may demonstrate as long as they do not break the law or incite hatred or property destruction.

March Restrictions Announced

On the day, Warsaw will enforce a ban on movement and pyrotechnics, and the government has announced a temporary ban on carrying weapons. The march organizers have appealed the provincial governor’s decision to administrative court.

Concert Invitation Details

Instead of marching, the mayor encourages residents to attend the “Wspólna Niepodległa” concert at the Museum of Polish History on 11 November at 6 p.m. The free event will feature 16 artists from 16 voivodeships, and a dedicated “WN” shuttle line has been arranged for transport.

Accessibility and Logistics

The event will provide adjustments for people with disabilities, and other city celebrations will take place at Krakowskie Przedmieście and near the Citadel. The concert’s single stage lineup and additional attractions are part of the broader city-wide observances.
