Warsaw Pediatric Hospital Gains Elite Quality Status

Warsaw Children’s Hospital Kopernik has received the “Demand Quality” award from the Patient Rights Ombudsman and CMJ, marking its entry into the city’s roster of top‑quality medical centres.

Award and Its Significance

The Warsaw Medical Care Centre ‘Kopernik’, a municipal children’s hospital at Kopernik 43, was awarded the ‘Demand Quality’ title by the Patient Rights Ombudsman and the CMJ. The honour confirms the hospital’s high standards of treatment and safety, helping parents make an informed choice about child care.

Criteria and Partners

The title is granted jointly by the Ombudsman and the Health Protection Quality Monitoring Centre. It is given to facilities that show special care for quality of services, safety culture, and patient comfort. The project, led by the Ombudsman in cooperation with CMJ, aims to identify centres that meet the highest criteria in treatment and care organization.

Standards of Care

Kopernik provides a wide range of pediatric services including paediatrics, surgery, orthopaedics, and pre‑hospital clinics. The hospital also develops standards for protecting minors and maintains a safe care environment, which contributed to its recognition.

Impact on Parents

For patients and families, the ‘Demand Quality’ signal is a clear indicator that the hospital follows verified procedures and best practices. It also motivates continual improvement in medical processes, patient communication, and organisational transparency.

Previous Recipient

This is the second municipal facility in the capital to receive the title – the first was the Medical Centre ‘Żelazna’.

Hospital’s Role in Warsaw

Kopernik remains a key address in Warsaw’s paediatric map, combining long‑standing tradition with modern quality and safety approaches. Being listed among the “Demand Quality” awardees strengthens the city’s public health position and aids parents in picking a treatment site.
