Warsaw Police Raid Drug Lab, Seize 90kg of Psychoactive Substances

Warsaw police dismantled a drug production laboratory in Płońsk County and arrested two Ukrainian citizens, seizing approximately 90 kilograms of drugs.

Professional Drug Laboratory Discovered

Warsaw police discovered a professional laboratory used for manufacturing drugs intended for distribution among football hooligans. The operation took place on a property in the Płońsk County commune.

Approximately 90 kilograms of various substances were seized during the operation. Two Ukrainian citizens were arrested and will face charges related to the joint production of significant quantities of narcotics.

Operation Targets Football Hooligan Network

Police from the Department for Combating Football Hooliganism of the Warsaw Police Command traced the operation to Szeromin, in the Płońsk County commune, where a Ukrainian citizen had established the laboratory.

Investigations revealed the drugs were intended for distribution among football hooligans associated with a Warsaw club from Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki and surrounding areas.

Joint Operation and Arrests

The raid involved support from police in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki, the Forensic Laboratory, the Drug Crime Department of the Warsaw Police Command, and the “BOA” Counter-Terrorist Unit of the National Police Headquarters.

Upon entering the property, officers found two men jointly engaged in drug production.

Substances Seized

During the search, approximately 90 kilograms of various substances were seized, including isopropanol, denatured alcohol, acetone, and boric acid – essential components for amphetamine production.

Police also recovered already produced amphetamine and mephedrone. Remaining seized substances will undergo analysis by police laboratory experts.

Charges and Detention

The two Ukrainian citizens, aged 36 and 56, were charged with the joint production of significant quantities of narcotics at the District Prosecutor’s Office in Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki. They face up to 20 years in prison.

Following a prosecutor’s request, the court ordered a three-month temporary arrest for both suspects.
