Warsaw Prosecutors File Indictment Against Seven in Robbery and Deprivation of Liberty Case

Seven individuals have been indicted by Warsaw prosecutors for a violent robbery that included kidnapping a 45-year-old man in Praga-Północ.

Indictment Filed Against Seven Suspects

The Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw’s Praga-Północ submitted an indictment on February 11, 2026, against seven individuals for a robbery combined with the deprivation of liberty of a 45-year-old man. The incident occurred between May 23-24, 2025.

Victim Lured and Detained

According to the case description, the suspects lured the victim to an apartment where they deprived him of his freedom. During his detention, they subjected him to physical violence and stole his documents, mobile phone, car keys, and later his car. The victim escaped by jumping from a first-floor window.

Lexus Valued at 200,000 Złoty Stolen

The perpetrators fled in a Lexus vehicle valued at approximately 200,000 Polish złoty. The stolen car was part of the property taken during the robbery, which included personal documents and electronics.

Investigation Led to Arrests

The investigation identified four individuals initially, who were arrested and charged. As the investigation progressed, three more suspects were identified and charged. The prosecutor did not seek to lift the detention for any of the suspects.

Repeat Offenders Face Serious Charges

Four of the seven accused are repeat offenders. They face charges under multiple articles of the Polish Penal Code, including robbery and deprivation of liberty. The penalties range from three months to 15 years in prison, depending on the severity of the charges and the offenders’ criminal history.
