On Saturday and Sunday, November 1 and 2, Warsaw’s public transport will run an extra 26 lines, some every 1–2 minutes, to ferry visitors to the city’s cemeteries.
Weekend Schedule
During the All Saints’ holiday on 1 and 2 November, Warsaw departs 26 extra bus and tram routes. Buses and trams will run from 7:00 to 19:00, with church‑day services from 9:00 to 17:00.
Special Cemetery Lines
Lines C11 and C22 will operate two hours longer on both days, reaching about 22:00 on Powązki Cemetery. Lines C09, C12 and C51 will stay an extra hour. Additional cemetery routes C1, C4, C6 and many bus routes (C09, C11, C12, C13, C14, C15, C20, C22, C26, C27, C37, C40, C47, C50, C51, C56, C69, C70, C81, C84, C88, C89, C90) will serve the larger Warsaw cemeteries.
Increased Frequency and Capacity
Most cemetery lines will run every 3–5 minutes; C09 will have buses every minute, while C13 will keep a 2 min 30 s schedule, deploying 40 buses only for that route. Trams on one day will follow the Saturday timetable, and the M1 and M2 metro lines will run at 3–4‑minute intervals during peak hours.
Additional Parking and Traffic Management
Motorists are advised to leave cars at home, using designated parking close to the cemeteries. Taxis and H‑taxi vehicles, plus “T”, “H”, and “M” license plates, will have restricted access. Traffic will be directed by police officers; bicyclists can cycle when possible.
Ticketing and Accessibility
Walcular tickets valid for zone 1 will allow travel on routes to Południowy cemetery (727, 737, C37, C47) and Palmir (C81). On‑demand stops near cemeteries (lines 115, 129, 142, 173, 178, 183, 187, 189, 191, 193, 514, 702, 703, 706, 707, 709, 711, 727, 728, 737, L‑4) will operate as permanent stops during the two days.
Network‑wide Impact
Including regular routes, more than 1,300 buses and almost 300 trams will depart Warsaw streets on 1 November. Traffic controllers and information officers will manage safe, efficient movement to the cemeteries.
