Fire Breaks Out at Restaurant
On Friday, May 1st, around 11:30 AM, a fire occurred at a restaurant located at the intersection of Kanałowa and Blokowa streets in Warsaw’s Targówek district.
The fire started at the Bałkańska Dusza restaurant. Nine people evacuated the building before the arrival of emergency services.
Origin of the Fire
Preliminary findings suggest the fire originated in the restaurant’s kitchen, specifically from a grill at Bałkańska Dusza.
Fire Spreads to Roof
The fire then spread to the chimney and subsequently to the building’s roof. Six fire crews, including the city’s Operational Group, were dispatched to the scene.
No Injuries Reported
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. All nine individuals evacuated the premises safely before the arrival of firefighters.
Firefighting Efforts and Aftermath
Firefighters extinguished the blaze using one water jet. After 12:00 PM, work continued on dousing the debris and dismantling the burned elements.
