Investigation Commenced After Deadly Blaze
The Warsaw-Mokotów District Prosecutor’s Office has initiated an investigation following the tragic fire that occurred on March 21, 2026, at 4 Migdałowa Street.
The fire engulfed a commercial space adapted into a shooting range, as well as an Iveco van and a container. Four people died, and two others were injured, one critically.
Scope of the Investigation
The investigation concerns an event endangering the life and health of many people and causing significant property damage. Prosecutors state the fire at 4 Migdałowa Street led to the deaths of four men and injuries to two others.

Prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba, Press Spokesperson for the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office, stated that the investigation concerns an event on March 21, 2026, at 4 Migdałowa Street in Warsaw, which endangered the life and health of many people and caused significant property damage, specifically a fire at the renovated shooting range and a vehicle – an Iveco van and a container.
Forensic Examination and Evidence
A fire expert participated in the examination of the fire scene. Surveillance footage documenting the sudden, rapid, and dynamic spread of the fire inside the premises at 4 Migdałowa Street has also been secured.
Victim Identification and Condition of Injured
Investigators have identified the victims, and autopsies have been ordered. The condition of one of the injured remains critical, and the man is unconscious. The second injured person, who sustained minor injuries, has been questioned.
Victims Were Employees
All the victims were employees of the same company and were performing renovation work at the shooting range at the time of the fire. The circumstances of the work and the course of the fire will be subject to further investigation.
Cause of Fire Under Investigation
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. According to the prosecutor’s spokesperson, establishing the cause will be possible after receiving an opinion from a fire expert appointed to the case.
