The EU’s highest-placed Christmas market will open in Warsaw this year, operating from December 1 to January 31 on the top of Varso Tower.
Venue and Timing
The market will be situated on the Highline Warsaw terrace of Varso Tower, the European Union’s tallest building at 310 metres. It will run from December 1 to January 31, offering visitors a unique winter experience at hundreds of metres above downtown Warsaw.
Festive Attractions and Illumination
Illuminations will envelop the terrace like a winter glow, featuring blue‑white lights that wrap around trees and create a cozy atmosphere. The setting will resemble a floating garden suspended over the city, with subtle lighting visible from street level.
High‑Altitude Pavilion
Located on the rooftop level and connected to the observation deck, the market’s main area will occupy one of the building’s highest floors, providing an opportunity to view Warsaw from over 200 metres high. The venue will incorporate interior and outdoor spaces for visitors to enjoy the panorama.
Visitor Experience and Ticketing
A ticket grants access to the observation deck, the garden‑level market, and an exhibition about Warsaw. The venue will operate throughout the day and into the evening, allowing guests to experience the festive lighting and city views at any time of day.
Food, Drink, and Photo Ops
The market will offer holiday snacks and hot drinks, including mulled wine. Photo stations and winter‑themed décor will enhance the visitor experience, inviting both tourists and locals to combine a rooftop tour with seasonal celebration.
Accessibility and Surrounding Facilities
Varso Tower sits next to Central Station on Chmielna Street in Warsaw’s heart. Visitors can reach it via metro (Centrum and Rondo ONZ stations), tram, bus, or train. Parking options include an underground garage and nearby car‑parking areas.
