A violent altercation between passengers on a tram in Warsaw’s Śródmieście district occurred around 7:20 PM on Easter Sunday, near the Plac Bankowy tram stop on Aleja “Solidarności.”
During the dispute, a 61-year-old man was reportedly hit in the head with a tiling hammer.
Injuries and Hospitalization
The victim sustained injuries to his hands, head, and knee and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Arrests and Intoxication Levels
Police detained a 29-year-old man identified as the attacker and a 25-year-old woman. Both individuals were found to be intoxicated; the man had a blood alcohol content of nearly 2 per mille, while the woman’s was 2.2 per mille.
