Warsaw’s Ujazdów Avenue Closed for ‘The Doll’ Film Shoot Over Weekend

From 15–16 November, Warsaw’s Ujazdów Avenue between Na Rozdrożu Square and Chopina Street will be shut to traffic for the production of the film “The Doll,” forcing detours for drivers and altered bus routes.

Closure Details

The section of Ujazdów Avenue from Na Rozdrożu Square to Chopina Street will be blocked for the night of 14 → 15 November and remain closed through the day of 16 November, ending only at the close of that day.

The film shoot will also involve adjacent areas, including Róż Avenue and the vicinity of Chopina Street, where set pieces and technical equipment will be installed.

Traffic Detours

Drivers travelling through the city centre are to use Piękną, the Konstytucji Square, Waryńskiego, Goworki, and Spacerowa streets as a detour from Ujazdów Avenue.

This detour route has been scheduled for all individual traffic and for city buses.

Bus Route Changes

Lines 116, 166, 180, and 503 will follow the detour, bypassing the closed segment of Ujazdów Avenue.

Updated schedules and any changes to stop locations are available from Warsaw Public Transport during the closure period.

Parking Restrictions

Complete parking bans will apply on Róż Avenue—up to the Serbian Embassy—and on Sieroszewskiego Street, as well as on the side of Chopina Street facing Dolina Szwajcarska where the production’s technical base is set.

Cars parked in prohibited zones may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Pedestrian Restrictions

Temporary pauses for pedestrians may occur in both Ujazdów and Róż Avenues, lasting a few minutes each, depending on the scenes being filmed.

Pedestrians will be allowed to cross during breaks between shots, with safety measures enforced.

End of Closure

Filming concludes by the end of Sunday 16 November. Afterward, Ujazdów Avenue traffic will resume normal operation, and all detours, bus changes, and parking bans will be lifted.
